Thanks for taking the time to follow along with the thread and sharing your concerns.
At this time, there aren't any new fixes included in the QuickBooks Tool Hub. However, we can resolve the QBWUSER.INI file manually.
If your QBWUSER.ini file is damaged or missing, the error may be resolved if you rename the QBWUSER.ini file. When you rename the QBWUSER.INI file, it erases the list of your previously opened company files. You will need to re-open your company file manually.
Here's how:
Once you've renamed the file, let's try to open your company file. If you're unable to open your file, let's make a copy of it and move it to another folder. Then, open the copied file that's in the new location. It's recommend to use a local folder on the desktop and not one located on a network drive. If you can open your file, the problem might be a damage folder or folder permissions.
However, if you're not able to open your file or a sample company file, this could be that there's an issue with the QuickBooks Software. In which, the installation has become damaged. If this is the case, I recommend completing a Clean Install of QuickBooks.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns. I'm always around to lend a hand. Take care!
