I can see that you've been trying to pull up files in your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac. I'm here to help you how you can restore them.
A DMG file will be created when you create a backup in QuickBooks for Mac. This file contains a duplicate of your company file or any other documents you saved in QuickBooks, such as forms or PDFs.
Here's how you can find your backup company files if you are not sure where did you save them.
- Select Preferences from the QuickBooks menu.
- Choose Backup.
- Select Reveal Backup Folder, then double-click the folder where your backup files are saved.
- You can sort by date and see your most recent backup by selecting Date Modified.
Please remember that the file name of your backup company also indicates the QuickBooks year version you are using. It simplifies the process of locating your QuickBooks backup. For example, if you use QuickBooks for Mac 2022, your backup company should be "Your company name.qb2022."
