i have been having same problem they have been trying to force me to either buy the online service which no where similar to the desktop or the yearly subscription i have been for the last two hours trying to upgrade to atleast the 2021 version and cannot get a straight answer from intuit anyone for that matter.   this is not kosher.  and when try the chat or they do is waste time with stupid questions and no true answer to what i need 

they also discontinued 2019 version which is what i had.    i guess i will have to look for alternative accounting software quickbook is no longer the software we will continue using i have 2021 at my job office where i imagined they will soon discontinue that as well.    this is total bs wanting to force you to purchase a yearly subscription of some kind.
