Hi there, @Reinhard1. I'm here to make sure you can access your company file right away.

QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2013 is already an outdated or discontinued program. This could be the reason why it crashed. We have a Data Services team that handles migrations from old versions of QBDT into the newest. I'd suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Support team. They'll be able to submit the case and guide you through the process of uploading your company file to data services.

  1. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help from the Help menu.
  2. Click Contact Us.

  3. Type in a short description of your concern, then Continue.
  4. Choose a way to connect with support.

Once you receive the file, restore the file to your QBDT 2019. Here's how:

  1. Make sure all users are logged out of your company file.
  2. Open your new version of QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Go to the File menu and select Open or Restore Company.
  4. Click Restore a backup copy and then click Local backup
  5. Browse your computer for your company file. You wrote down the file location in Step 1. Select it and then click Open
  6. Sign in to your company file as an admin user.
  7. Before you upgrade, QuickBooks automatically creates a backup of your existing company file. You can select Change this default location to save the backup in a specific folder.
  8. Choose Update Now to start the upgrade.
  9. Click Done.

For more information, see Step 3 through this article: Upgrade Your Company Files

After that, update QuickBooks so you have the latest software release.

You can always tap me if you need further assistance with upgrading your file. I'm always here available to help. Have a good one.
