just a quick headsup on our situation.
our QBDT was installed in a virtual machine.
Since installing it has not been updated,
A while ago I disconnected the VM from the internet by disallowing internet access at the router - so that it still has access to our network and network files but was completely isolated from the outside world.
I also some months ago tried setting the system date in the VM to April 2024 and all still worked.
QB in this VM is still running.
As a trial a month or so ago I created a clone of the QB VM with a copy of the company file.
This morning 1st July I started that cloned VM up and started QB without any problems.
In our case we've moved across to Xero because we need bank feeds that didn't work with QB and MTD capabilities.
But we still have access to all our QB data going back to before 2005
The reason for using a clone for testing was in case Intuit had installed a disabler in an update or if via the internet there was a mechanism to have triggered a disabler in the software which would keep our actual install safe.
So as I suggested in an earlier post and as skinnerneil has also said, if
there is no reason why you cannot continue to use QBDT - as far is presently known
good luck everybody
