@Mark Intuit has made Desktop MTD compliant with no major changes coming in tax requirements on the horizon is total rubbish. Even if there were any major changes then Intuit has an obligation to comply including QBO, otherwise why would the company be in the business of accounting.
All countries Intuit has a footprint in will always have to move with the government obligations, so your statement is null and void.
If there are any extra costs to Intuits buisness model when at least give your long standing customers an option. The only option your have presented is a hald baked versions of Desktop or finding another software service.
