Yes, you can migrate your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2014 version to QuickBooks Online (QBO) using a free trial of QBO, Metaphors.

Before switching to QuickBooks Online (QBO), make sure your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) is updated to the latest version. It's essential to back up your company file so you can restore it if the data becomes corrupted. Once the file is accessed during the conversion, you won't be able to retrieve it again if anything goes wrong.

To migrate your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online. You can follow the steps below:

  1. Once your QBDT is updated, check if your company file is not too big to export.
  2. Sign in as an admin to your QuickBooks Desktop company file.
  3. When opened, navigate to the Company menu, then select Export Company File to QuickBooks Online.
  4. Choose to Start your export.
  5. Then, open a browser and sign in as an admin to your QuickBooks Online company.
  6. Select the Choose Online company dropdown, then select the QuickBooks Online company you want to be replaced by your company file.
  7. Hit Continue and enter "Agree" in the text field, then select Replace.
  8. Select Yes to confirm the data replacement, then tap Replace.
