Since the error presents itself with PDF files, I recommend making sure that your Adobe Acrobat Reader is updated to the version of Adobe Acrobat Reader specified in the Software compatibility section of this article on the System requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2023.

If the error persists after updating Adobe Acrobat Reader, or it was the right version already, I recommend reaching out to the QuickBooks Desktop support team outside of the Community.
