Tyler, we appreciate the effort you've made to get the mileage tracker working back to normal. Let's go over your device's general location settings to ensure that QuickBooks mobile app can operate smoothly in the background.

Here's how:

  1. On your device, go to the Menu icon and select Settings.
  2. Choose Mileage settings and turn on Track slow speed trips.
  3. Select Boost location accuracy.


Android devices have their own operating systems, so the steps can change from one device to another. To make sure QuickBooks can run in the background, follow the steps provided by Google.


Next, open QBO and check your mileage tracker. If the feature is still not working, perform Steps 3 up to 9 in this article: Fix mileage tracking issues in the QuickBooks Online mobile app.
