We don't want you to have this kind of experience, @PBA001. I can give information about the categories not showing in the QuickBooks App.

We would like you to know that there is an ongoing investigation regarding the QuickBooks Mobile App for iOS, and it has been reported that users are unable to see expense categories. If you're using an iOS device, we recommend contacting our Support Team so they can include you in the list of affected users. Then, you will receive updates through email.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QBO account.
  2. Click Help (?).
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Choose a way to connect with us.
  • Start a Chat with a support expert. Live chat M-F, 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM and S-S, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, AET.
  • Call Us. M-F, 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM, AET.

However, if you're using an Android device, some factors that could affect mobile apps include excessive cache data or available updates. We can clear your app's cache to improve system performance and free up storage space.

Here's how:

  1. Go to your phone's Settings and select Apps.
  2. Choose the QuickBooks App.
  3. Select Storage, then click Clear Data.

After clearing the app's cache, we can now restart your device. Then, uninstall and reinstall the app.

For more info, please refer to this article: Fix common errors in the QBO mobile app for Android.

If the issue persists, let's access your QBO account through the QuickBooks website to review recorded expense transactions and manage receipts.

Furthermore, you can check out this article to learn how to run reports to track your sales, costs, or profitability: Run reports in QBO.

I'll be here to assist you if you need additional assistance with your QuickBooks App or any QuickBooks concerns. Take care.
