Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us, @S3 Adventures.

We know how important it is to have options that align with your preferences when uploading receipts and attachments in QuickBooks. For now, there's no specific timeframe for when the program will start accepting HEIC files.

Please know that our software engineers regularly review customer requests to enhance QuickBooks and provide the best possible experience for our valued users. Your ideas help shape the direction of our product, and we strive to meet the evolving needs of businesses.

If you haven't sent any feedback yet, here's how to submit your suggestions:

  1. In QBO, click the Gear icon at the top, then Feedback.
  2. Enter your comments or product suggestions. Then select Next to submit feedback.

You can track feature requests through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.

For now, QuickBooks supports PDF,  JPEG, JPG, GIF, and PNG images. If you're using a HEIC format, I suggest converting it to a compatible format. This way, you can easily upload your receipts or attachment in the program.

We understand that having a seamless experience is crucial for our users, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our software.

I'll add these articles that tackle the new interface, including estimates and invoices in QBO for further guidance:
