In QuickBooks, you can set the sales tax to make items on your invoices taxable. Here's how;

1. Select the Gear icon at the top > Products and Services.
2. On the product or service line(s) that you'd like to collect sales tax for, click to select the box under the Tax column.
3. Select a tax rate from the dropdown menu.
4. Check the box which says " I purchase this product/service from a supplier."
5. Click Save and close.
