Yes, a direct bank feed connection would be ideal, @Embers00.

I understand you just want to ensure that your HSBC bank account is connected with QuickBooks so your transactions will be downloaded seamlessly.

Currently, our Product Engineers are still working on finding ways to bypass HSBC's complicated new login encryption. This will ensure that bank feeds will not be blocked. Rest assures, that once an update about this on-going bank issue is released it will apply directly your account. Also, you'll be notified via email.

In the meantime, let's try to re-connect your HSBC bank account with QuickBooks using these steps:

  1. Log on to your Banks website via something other than your mobile.
  2. Select to change the username.
  3. You will be prompted for a security code.
  4. Via HSBC mobile app select generate code.
  5. Select the authentication code.
  6. Enter the code into the bank's online site.
  7. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  8. Reconnect your HSBC bank account with the new bank details.
  9. Generate a secure code via the app and you should be connected.
