I can give insights about adding inventory items in QuickBooks Online. The Inventory feature is only available for Plus and Advanced versions of QuickBooks Online. 

 

You'll want to upgrade your QuickBooks plan to start tracking your inventory. Here's how: 

 

1. Click the Settings menu, then select Account and Settings.
2. Go to the  Billing & Subscription tab, then select Upgrade in the QuickBooks Online section. 
3. Choose the plan you want, then select Upgrade.
4. Confirm your payment information. 
5. Select Save.
