You’ll need to be the company admin when moving your QuickBooks Desktop 2018 to another computer to ensure all options are accessible, @LD1561.

 

When transferring your file to another device, be sure to consider the following:

 

  1. Signed in as the Company Admin. You can review the roles and permissions on the file to verify.
  2. You must have a US version of QuickBooks Desktop 2018 or newer.
  3. Ensure no company files are open; all users should be signed out, as the Migrator Tool only works for single-user mode.

 

Once completed, follow the guidelines in this article, Move or Reinstall QuickBooks Desktop to Another Computer, to use the Migrator Tool.
