I am in the same boat as @Laurence5905 . I got as far as closing all companies in my standalone QBDesktop Pro2018 version and clicking on "File" in the upper left corner. I selected "Utilities" from the pull-down menu but "Migrate to a new computer" is grey, not black and will therefore not allow me to use that command. Is there any other way to move an old version of QB to a new computer?  I in not in a position financially to support an ongoing subscription. I also agree with @Laurence5905 that OWNING the desktop standalone version is the goal for me.
