The QuickBooks Online (QBO) desktop app is only available to QBO Advanced and Accountant versions with Windows 64-bit computers. This means that QBO Simple Start, Essentials, and Plus don't have the option to download. This app makes it convenient to access your company file(s). 

If you have the mentioned  requirements, here's how you can download it:

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
2. Go to the Gear icon then select Get the desktop app under Your Company.
   
   
    
3. Hit on Download for Windows or Download for Mac.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

When successfully installed, you can now switch to another company without signing out. You can also open a new tab for each company file. You can access accounts in the app that have a QuickBooks Online subscription.
