I'm here to help connect your bank account in QuickBooks, @micah-funk-gmail.

To make browsing easier, QuickBooks uses cache to remember regularly visited websites. An excess of them, though, can result in unforeseen QuickBooks replies. Consequently, this can be the cause of your inability to connect to or add your account.

For now, we can try performing some trouble shooting steps. To rule this out, log in to your QuickBooks account using a private browser. Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using:

  • Ctrl Shift for Google Chrome
  • Ctrl Shift for Firefox & Microsoft Edge
  • Command Shift for Safari

If everything goes smoothly this time, switch back to your default browser and clear its cache. The system will return to its initial condition and be able to start over in this manner. You can also use an additional supported web engine.

You can also get in touch with your bank to see if there are any ongoing system changes or maintenance.

Here is an article you can use to fix an error message if you ever receive one: Reconnect bank account in QuickBooks Self-Employed.

Once everything is back up and running, you can start categorizing your entries. By doing this, they are more likely to reach the right accounts. You can develop bank rules to hasten this procedure.
