Welcome, @Jason616.

I appreciate you for joining the thread about connecting accounts to bank feeds. Allow me to chime in and provide clarification on the browser requirements for the QuickBooks Desktop 2022 version.

Currently, the 2022 version requires internet access and Internet Explorer 11 (32-bit). Some of the versions of the browser may still be supported past the latest Windows OS end date when Extended Security Updates (ESUs) are available.

For more information, check out this link from the Microsoft website: Internet Explorer.

Also, there's a user who performed a workaround that works on the program. You can add a registry key for Internet Explorer that points to Chrome.

There's no guarantee it will work for you or what impact it may have but it routes to the suggested browser. Here's how:

  1. Open regedit
  2. Add a folder called IEXPLORE.EXE in Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\
  3. Click on default and set it to your path to chrome. For me it was C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe

Also, if you're unable to connect to your bank, you can bring over bank data manually via web connect. To know more about the process, check out this article: Set up or edit bank accounts for Bank Feeds in QuickBooks Desktop.

Let me know if you have additional questions about linking your bank account to QuickBooks. I'll keep an eye on your response. Have a great day.
