The only way it is solved is if you only use 2022 and install the 64-bit Data base manager. If you install the software along with the Database manager, it will install the 64-bit 2022 dbm. I was able to successfully change a file to multi user on only 2022 software when I installed as mentioned above but no previous years would go into multi user mode with the 64-bit database manager.

 

I speculate this is because all previous data base managers are 32-bit only.

I even went to the Qb page to download the installers and checked to see if there was a 32-bit installer or not for the 2022 versions, there is not.

I then went to older years to see if there was a 64-bit installer for older years. there is not.

 

If you install only the database manager using the R3 installer package, it installs a 32-bit Database manager for the 2022 version, but it installs it into the windows 64-bit folder directory and it doesn't work for any years to allow them into multi user mode.

The only way I have found to get the 64-bit Database manager for the 2022 versions is to fully install the software with DBM.
