Hello Jim Hearn,

 

Thank you for reaching out to the QuickBooks Community, and welcome to the family. Since you are unable to open your QuickBooks to follow the steps to speak with a live representative, here's what you can do. 

  1. You can Contact Us by selecting the link.
  2. Enter your product information, including the edition, and add what is going on.
  3. You will then be asked to select which way you prefer to speak with us. Choose the callback option.
  4. Enter your contact information and click Get a Call.

 

One of our agents will then contact you. In the meantime, I suggest following this article which goes through step by step what to do if you can't open your company file in QuickBooks Desktop.
