Thank you for reaching out to us here on the Community page. I can share with you some information on how to install QuickBooks on a new computer.
First, download QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) from the website.
Here's how:
- Open this link: https://downloads.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/products.
- Select the country, product, and version of QuickBooks, then tap Search.
- Hit Download.
Then, proceed with installing QuickBooks. For your guide, check out this link: Install QuickBooks Desktop.
Once completed, you can restore your files to the newly installed QBDT.
- Go to the File menu, then tap Open or Restore Company.
- Choose Restore a backup copy and then Next.
- Select Local Backup and then Next.
- Browse your computer for your backup company file. It should look like this: [Your company name].qbb.
- Select a folder to decide where to save your restored company file. Then select Open.
- When you're ready, select Save.
