Buy nowI am aware that there is a Class field. What I need are 2-4 Class Fields, so that I can split the transactions by location and by division and/or department.
I have been directed in the past to projects. For healthcare companies, where their entire A/R- all associated charges (invoices), patients (customers) and payments are housed in a separate HIPAA Compliant system, projects just doesn't really work for us.
Then I'm typically directed to using the location field which can't be applied to split transactions.
Then I'm also recommended sub-accounts which is messy and cumbersome.
We need better means of tracking by having multiple separate Class Fields to track our revenue drivers (doctors) and their associated expenses (supplies, staffing, etc.).
Most QBO clients would pay more for this feature. We are considering transitioning to another vendor at this point due to these short comings.
