Converting QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise is not a straight-forward step but, with tips, I can help you make it happen. Let's get started.

There are certain limitations when moving your data to QuickBooks Online and feature differences between the two. 

1. You can import transactions, but you can't export transactions from QuickBooks.
2. There is a maximum number of list entries that QuickBooks can process.
3. When importing assembly items, you can't import data in the item's custom fields.

After that, below are the steps to complete the process:

1. Make sure QuickBooks is up-to-date.
2. Check if your company file isn’t too big to export.
3. Log in as an admin to the company file you want to import.
4. On your keyboard, press Ctrl+1 to open the Product Information window.
5. Press Ctrl+B+Q, then select OK. On the export window, select Start your export.
6. Sign in as an admin to your QuickBooks Online company.
7. If you track inventory in QuickBooks Desktop:
   • Select Yes to bring them over, then specify the as of date.
   • Select No if you want to set up new items later in QuickBooks Online.

     Note: Only QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced can track inventory. Both plans use the FIFO method.

8. Select the Choose online company▼ dropdown, and choose the QuickBooks Online company you want to be replaced by your company file. Select Continue.
9. Enter “Agree” in the text field, then select Replace.
10. Select Yes, go ahead and replace the data, then select Replace.
