The usual cause as to why an import fails are either invalid characters or an incorrect format on your Excel file.
I suggest you download the sample file and enter your product list from there. This way, you can ensure the format is correct.

Another thing to take note, you can have 1000 rows at a time for your Excel file. In case your products are more than that, split it into several files.
