Thanks for choosing QuickBooks Online (QBO) as your accounting partner, @info-alltel-co-z.
Based on the ".QBM" type, it seems like your accountant sent you a portable company file using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). We're unable to import it to QBO directly, but I'm here to provide the two options to complete your task.
If you're using QBDT before, let's ensure your Total Targets is less than 350,000. Just open the program and press Ctrl + 1 on your keyboard. You'll have to determine the import limitations before performing the conversion process below.
For the detailed instructions, check out this article: Move Your QBDT File To QBO.
If your Total Targets is more than 350,000, I'd suggest filling out the form and submit it to our Data Migration Team. They can help you convert the file. The turnaround time to complete it is within three to five working days after they receive it.
Once your file is ready, we'll send you an email notification. Then, use the post-conversion checklist to review your data. For more information, read through this article: QBO Migration From QBDT.
When everything looks good, you can start using your new QBO account. Thus, I recommend visiting this link to effectively manage your income, expenses, and other related tasks: Help Articles.
Leave a comment below if you have follow-up concerns about the conversion process or other inquires. I'll be around to help. Take care.
