Hi there, KGBM.

Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. Let me discuss some information on how importing a list of your products and services works in QuickBooks. Then, ensure you can upload them in QuickBooks smoothly.

There are a few tasks you should perform while importing items to ensure your legacy file is in as clean a state as possible. Like making sure that you aren't importing details that already exist in the program. I recommend opening your QuickBooks and reviewing all the information entered in the software.

If the issue persists, I suggest logging in to your QuickBooks account using a private browser. Then, import your items from there. This is to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue and ensure private browsing doesn't store local files or cache.

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using:

  • For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

If it works in incognito, you'll need to clear the cache of your regular browser. This clears the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as an alternative.

Lastly, you may refer to this article to view various details on what are the limitations of importing products and services in QBO: Common questions about importing data to QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if you need further assistance or any clarification about importing data to QBO. I'm always here to provide extra information and help. Have a great day, KGBM.
