You can use a third-party application designed for data migration to successfully import your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT)data into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) International version as a workaround, Inga.

Please note that direct migration from QBDT to QBO is only supported when both products are from the same region. Since you are using QBO International, you'll need to access your QBDT Enterprise 12.0 company file and manually export key data to Excel.

You may utilize this article to guide you about what data can and can't be transferred from QBDT to QBO. Please know that while this is US-based, the same principle applies to the global version: Learn how terms and data transfer from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.

Once done, you can proceed manually importing them to QBO.

Alternatively, using a third-party migration service to transfer your data from QBDT to QBO Global will help streamline the process. Here's how:

  1. Visit the QBDT Marketplace.
  2. In the Search tab, type any keyword related to migrating data from QBDT to QBO.
  3. Scroll down and choose a specific app that suits your needs.

I've added this resource to help you get familiar with some of the main features of QBO: Get started with QuickBooks Online.
