Hi usergalenj,

 

You can enter your hourly rates when creating the invoice to send to your customer:

 

  1. Select the + icon, then Create Invoice.
  2. Select Add product or service, then Add new product or service.
  3. Here you can set up products and/or services with flat rates, hourly rates or quantities. Enter a name and the amounts as needed then select Add.
  4. Add in your other details (customer name tax etc) and either Save draft or Email.

 

QuickBooks Self Employed does not support payroll; if you are wanting to set up payroll and enter employees, hours, wages and so on see here for what plans can do so.
