I'll show you a way to help you change the currency symbol's position. 

You'll want to edit and change the number format to 123,456.00 in your Account and settings page. Here's how: 

1. Click the gear icon, then select Account and settings.
2. Go to the Advanced tab. 
3. Expand the Other preferences section
4. Change the Number format to 123,456.00. 
5. Click Save then Done. 

This will change the currency symbol's position to the left hand side of the amount. Here's a quick demonstration: 

Note: Your sales forms (invoices or sales receipts) will also be affected with this change.
