The reason why you're unable to change the home currency is that the Multicurrency feature is already turned on (as seen on your screenshot). The system does this so it won't mess up your books.
I have three ways to handle this and I'm more than happy to share the steps with you.
Is this a recent QuickBooks Online subscription (less than 60 days)? If so, you'll want to purge your company so you can change the home currency. Here's how:
If this is an old subscription, you also have the option to cancel it and subscribe to a new one with a different home currency. Here's how:
After canceling, sign up for a new one here. Then, change the home currency and turn on your Multicurrency.
If cancelling the subscription isn't viable, then you can keep the current home currency. You can use a different currency when setting up your customers. QuickBooks will use it whenever you create a transaction under that customer.
