We can do the Verify and Rebuild Data to identify any data issues within a company file. Before doing so, please make sure to update your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release. Then, restart your computer when the installation is finished.

 

To verify, here's how:

 

  1. Go to Window > Close All
  2. Click File > Utilities Verify Data.

If you get a specific error or data integrity issues, you can continue to the steps below to Rebuild Data:

 

  1. Go to FileUtilities > Rebuild Data.
  2. Press OK when you get a warning message to backup your company file.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions and the Rebuild Data utility starts as soon as the backup is finished.
  4. Click OK when you get the message "Rebuild has completed".

Once done, run the payroll summary report again.
