Yes, you can file it yourself, ADDITUP. I'll provide you with the steps.

 

Here's how:

  1. Click Expenses, then go to the Vendors tab.
  2. Click Prepare 1099s, then select Continue your 1099s.
  3. Review the company information, then click Next.
  4. Ensure the payments are categorized correctly, then click Next.
  5. Review the contractors' info, then click Next.
  6. Check the payments, then click Finish preparing 1099s.
  7. Click I'll file for myself
  8. Select the form type, then click Yes, looks good!.
  9. Select 1099 or 1096 or Summary, then click Next.

Once done printing the forms, manually tick the Corrected box. 

 

There's no deadline to file the corrected 1099-MISC. Although, it must be filed as soon as the error was discovered.
