Thank you for bringing this to our attention, DS CPA. I have some helpful information that will allow you to remove the banner, giving you quick and easy access to your 5080 tax form in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Payroll.

If I may ask first, are you referring to the banner that keeps popping up on your home screen? If so, QBDT uses pop-ups to suggest new features and updates to enhance your experience. However, you can always turn this feature off for convenience.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Edit menu and choose Preferences.
  2. Under General, look for Turn off pop-up messages for products and services.
  3. Remove the check mark beside it and click OK.

Moreover, you can also remove the check mark for What's New under the Help menu. Please see this:

Once done, go to your Michigan Form 5080 again and check to see if the issue persists. You can also share a screenshot of the error message or banner you're getting so we can provide an appropriate solution.

However, if you're referring to something else, I'd suggest contacting our QBDT Payroll Live support for additional assistance. They have specialized tools and resources to safely check your current setup and investigate this further to locate the root cause of the issue. Here's how:

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
  3. Describe the error you're experiencing.

For your convenience, I've included this resource to help you stay ahead of the latest payroll news and updates, keeping your payroll processes up-to-date and efficient: Get the latest payroll news and updates in QBDT Payroll.
