Actually, the current form 1099 for TY 2017 is NOT available on the IRS website. 2016 and prior are available and 2018 - It makes no sense and obviously this is an IRS issue - but it is a problem when the governing agency doesn't have the proper forms availabe. I will contacting the IRS and/or US Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA). You cannot use the incorrect form, regardless of their not being any changes it is required by tax law that the correctly labeled TY form be used. At this point, only preprinted forms from suppliers can be used to file form 1099-Misc 2017.
