Firstly, we need to locate the error message and fix it. Here's how:
- Click the View Report link from the error message.
- Double-click the file ReportHeader.xml.
- To open the search box, press CTRL F on your keyboard, then enter Exception String 0 in the search field.
You will be directed to the error message on the report, which appears after the words Exception String 0.
Once you identify the error message, follow Step 2 in this article to resolve it: Fix error codes 00000 XXXXX in payroll setup.
If you still encounter the error message despite performing the above steps, you will have to update your QBDT software and Tax table. After doing so, restart the computer on which the QBDT software is installed before attempting to access the Payroll setup wizard.
