Since you're still getting the same results after setting the "Sign me out if inactive for XX hours", I'd suggest some troubleshooting steps. Let's start by refreshing the program to prevent any disruptions while using QuickBooks. Here's how:

 

  1. Refresh your QBO app by clicking Help.
  2. Select Reset App Data.

 

If the issue persists, we may need to uninstall and reinstall the QBO application. Here's a quick guide to do it, or you can visit the link here to reinstall the app directly. Simply scroll down to the Get the QuickBooks Mac or Windows App section, then click the Free Download button.
