I can imagine the hurdles you've been through to resolve this problem, HollyH3. I'll share some troubleshooting steps and route you to the best available support to assist you further with this concern.

To verify, may I know if you have encountered a specific error code when trying to download payroll updates? If so, you can follow the steps below to fix these error codes.

We can start by checking your payroll service subscription. Here's how:

  1. Close all your company files and restart your computer.
  2. Open QuickBooks, go to Employees, select My Payroll Service, then click  Manage Service Key.
  3. Your Service Name and Status should be correct and will show as Active.
  4. Tap Edit, and ensure the service key number is accurate.
  5. Click Next, uncheck the Open Payroll Setup box, and then select Finish.
  6. This will download the entire payroll update.

If you still see the error, proceed to Steps 2 and of this article: Fix PSXXX errors when downloading payroll updates.

However, I recommend reaching out to our QBDT Payroll Support Team if the issue persists. They're equipped with the necessary tools to check your account securely and perform a screen-sharing session to investigate this matter further.

We're always here in the Community to help if you have other questions about managing your QBDT. Keep safe!
