Hello TiffyB, 

On a purchase order, there is no way of getting the item/service code to show up on the print like on the invoice. 

A purchase order is not a sales form therefore you cant manipulate it though the custom forms style 

We would suggest leaving feedback in the product in the main cog wheel>feedback.
