I appreciate you chiming in on this thread.

When you connect your bank account to QuickBooks Online (QBO), it will automatically download your most recent transactions. However, consider disconnecting your online bank account from QuickBooks if the update seems stuck.

Here's how:

  1. Click Banking from the left menu.
  2. Select the appropriate bank account you want to disconnect.
  3. Hit the pencil icon, then select Edit account info.
  4. Put a checkmark in the Disconnect this account on the save checkbox.
  5. Click Save and Close.

Please note that if you notice a bank connection error, do not disconnect the account until the online banking errors are resolved. When you reconnect it after disconnecting with errors, it may download duplicate transactions. You may read this article for reference: Disconnect accounts connected to online banking in QuickBooks Online.

I'm adding this page if you want to automatically categorize transactions, feel free to view this article for the detailed process: Set up bank rules.

Additionally, if you encounter an error with your first and last reconciliations, use this articles for your guide on how to fix them:

Please leave a comment below to let me know how it goes. I just want to make sure you're ready to re-categorize your transactions. I'll be there to continue assisting. Have a wonderful day.
