Hello there, York Signs.

I'm here to discuss on how to handle overpayment to a Bank Statement.

You can enter every item on the statement for the credit card account. As to how it was paid, you'll have to record how it shows on the bank statement. You can enter the entire paid amount so it will not show as off in the reconciliation.

This article provides a detailed steps on how to pay credit card accounts in QuickBooks Desktop: Set up, use, and pay credit card accounts.

Just in case you want additional help from our Care Support Team, don't hesitate to reach them out through this link: QuickBooks Desktop Support.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Desktop company.
  2. Select QuickBooks Help.
  3. Click Contact us.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help you in handling overpayment to the bank statement. I'm always happy to help.
