Hi, 222Rebecca.

I've got the steps on how to import via an Excel file.

Let me guide you with these steps:

  1. Open the Lists menu, then choose Chart of Accounts.
  2. Choose the Account drop-down, then hit Import from Excel.
  3. Click on Browse to choose the Excel file you want to import.
  4. Choose the file, then hit Open.
  5. Choose the Excel Sheet where the data you want to import is on.
  6. Map your accounts.
  7. Mapping your accounts tell QuickBooks how to import the data from your Excel sheet.
  8. Click on Import. If it's your first time importing, hit Yes.

Also, read these guides to learn more about import or export information with QuickBooks Desktop:

Please post again or leave a comment in this thread if you have more questions about importing transactions or anything else QuickBooks. I'm more than willing to assist.
