There's only one QBW.INI file used for different company files. This helps QuickBooks to store initialization information. Please take note that once you close and reopen the file, the value on the QBW.INI file will return to what it was before.

If you want to edit the file and change the program parameters on how QuickBooks loads and behaves, you can follow these steps:

• C:\ProgramData\Intuit\QuickBooks[Version] where [Version] is your version of QuickBooks Desktop.
• C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Intuit\QuickBooks [Version]where [Version] is your version of QuickBooks.
