We need first to make sure that you have the latest release of QuickBooks Desktop. You'll want to update it by following the steps in this article: Update QuickBooks Desktop.

 

Also, let's rebuild your company file to fix any issue it may have which can cause this error. You can follow these steps:

  1. Back up your QuickBooks Desktop company file.

  2. Go to the File menu > Utilities > Verify Data.
  3. Wait for it to load.
  4. Choose File again > Utilities > Rebuild Data.

In addition, I suggest reaching out to our Customer Support Team if this behavior continues. That way, they can check the file to see the cause of this error. Simply go to the Help menu and select QuickBooks Desktop Help. On the pop-up, click the Contact us.
