Buy nowI'm so disgusted with QBO, their customer service, and their merchant services. I called in yesterday to establish a merchant account. Spent an hour on the phone completing every step. The only aspect left was to confirm deposits/withdrawals from our bank account to complete the link between our bank and QBO (a link that had been previously established). Then today, all of a sudden, I'm not allowed to confirm the funds. I'm now told that our primary admin is required to do this. My primary admin is in the hospital until sometime in October, getting a bone marrow transplant. To say he is not available is putting it mildly. If anyone had told me yesterday, when I completed the account opening, this was going to be a problem I would NOT have established the merchant account, nor would I have provided the credit card payment option to the clients not able to send ACH payments internationally. Now, all they can say for themselves is that the person yesterday should have told me. That is ridiculous and awful customer service. I asked the supervisor (Kenneth) who I was transferred to to provide me with the policy. To show me where this policy requirement should have been seen before I completed the process. He first put me on hold, then came back, then just disappeared from the conversation. So, QBO gave me nothing. Now, I'm supposed to push my boss to either give me temporary primary admin status or complete the payment verification, since establishing the bank link is time sensitive and we have already had two client payments processed. If you have not already established your company accounting with QBO, I would research other options. Every time I run up against their policies like this, it is not a security feature that improves anything for security, it's control. Not checks and balances, just control for no purpose. If it was for reasonable security, it would have had a message you had to sign off on confirming knowledge and acceptance from a non-primary admin. This is just seriously lacking, like many other feature I have experienced with QBO. QBO is just lacking.
