Thank you for joining this thread, Janetgbrown. I understand how it can be frustrating when things don't work as expected, especially when it concerns your financial transactions. The red exclamation point message indicates that check may not meet processing criteria and is really not acceptable in the system. Note that there are types of checks that aren't accepted.

In the mean time, let’s go through some troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue indicated in the screenshot you provided. Lets start by clearing the cached app data in your mobile phone for a better experience. Here's how you can do this on an iOS device:

  1. Go to your Settings and choose the General option.
  2. Find the iPhone Storage and tap on it.
  3. Click Offload App.

Also, reinstalling the app could help improve its performance. This process guarantees a fresh and updated installation of the app's components. If you need detailed steps, refer to this article: How to download the QuickBooks Online mobile app.

If the issue persists even after performing the steps above, I recommend depositing checks using Safari. I'll outline the steps below on how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company file using Safari browser.
  2. Select Cash Flow.
  3. On the QuickBooks Checking home page, choose the Send Money button.
  4. Click on Deposit Checks.
    • Note: If this option does not appear or is grayed out, it indicates that you are not yet eligible for this feature.
  5. Enter the check amount.

After this, proceed with steps 2 and 3 in this article to complete the process of depositing checks: Use mobile check deposit with QuickBooks Checking.

For best results on your mobile device when using a browser, refer to this article for information: QuickBooks Online access for mobile devices.

I'll keep this thread open for any further questions you might have about depositing checks. I'm here to assist you further!
