Thank you for providing additional information about the connection issue with the new credit card subaccount linked to the Chase Parent account. I appreciate the steps you've taken, and I want to explain the process in detail to help you manage your finances effectively, MariaK27.

First, it's essential to understand how your bank downloads transactions.

If your bank downloads transactions into a single account, the recommended approach is to connect only that parent account. Doing this will consolidate all transactions in one location.

On the other hand, if your bank provides downloads for individual subaccounts, it is advisable to connect each subaccount directly to QBO. This method will ensure transactions are accurately recorded in their respective subaccounts, maintaining proper categorization and organization.

Once you have confirmed how your bank handles downloaded transactions, let me show you how to disconnect the account:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu, Bank Transactions, and select the Chase account.
  2. Click the pencil icon to edit the account, then choose Edit account info.image (1).png
  3. In the account window, select Disconnect this account on save at the bottom and confirm by saving and closing the window. image (2).png

After disconnecting the accounts, you can start reconnecting them in QuickBooks Online. Here’s a helpful article that outlines the process: Connect bank and credit card accounts.

Additionally, you can focus on reconciling the parent account, as all transactions will automatically consolidate into it. This approach simplifies your process and ensures accuracy.
