You can match the deposit to the open Account Receivables (A/R), Jersey. I'm here to discuss this matter further.

In QuickBooks Online, deleting the deposit directly from the bank register will return it to the For Review tab in the bank feed center. In this case, you can match it to the open A/R.

Here's how:

  1. Head to Transactions in the left pane.
  2. Select Bank transactions, then the For Review tab.
  3. Look for "matches found" in the Assign to or Category or match column and click on the deposit to expand the view.
  4. Review the Suggested matches, ensuring it's the appropriate open A/R. Otherwise, pick Find other matches to look for other transactions.
  5. Select Match.

For more information, refer to this material: Match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

After that, manually reconcile the entry in the bank register with these steps:

  1. Look for the account in the Chart or Account and click View register.
  2. Locate the deposit from the lists and select it to expand the view.
  3. In the checkmark column, click the box until you see an R.
  4. Select Save.
