Buy nowRE: There is no bank via Positive Pay that will accept reports from Quickbooks as they are.
Do you mean generally how the report can be output, or with the Print As name missing? The workaround posted here for the latter is to make the Vendor and the Print As name the same. It seems that will work for some users. For the former, though, yes different banks have many different requirements that you'll never be able to meet with a QuickBooks report. For example, it's likely you'll never be able to include the bank account or routing numbers on a QB transaction report, which many banks require.
RE: The option to select "NAME PRINTED ON CHECK" is 100% needed. What is Quickbooks waiting for?
Yes, lots of things customers have asked for for decades are not yet available. Generally Intuit will only add features that they think many/most customers want, and creating Positive Pay files probably isn't one of them. They generally let 3rd parties solve such needs.
[Shameless plug...]
Again, if you need to use PositivePay with your bank and doing it manually is time consuming, I think our BRC PositivePay file Creator - QB Desktop , which includes about 170 bank file formats, will save you a lot of time and is a good solution. If your bank isn't listed, we can help you either create a custom file (there's a built in feature to do that) or we can add your bank to the list, usually within about a week.
