Recently, an investigation with reference number (INV-96789) was initiated due to an error message that appeared when trying to add a PayPal Deposit transaction in QuickBooks Online (QBO). The message read Select an account for this transaction. However, I am pleased to inform you that the issue has been resolved and fixed by our Product Engineering Team.

 

In the meantime, we can proceed with performing the troubleshooting steps. You may follow the workaround details below:

 

  1. Login to either web or mobile browser.
  2. Then go to the Transactions tab the For review tab.
  3. Click on the bank transaction and choose Find Match.

 

To resolve this, we need to ensure that the deposit transaction is correctly associated with the appropriate account in QuickBooks Online. You can follow these steps to rectify the error:

 

  1. Go to your QuickBooks Online account and verify that the deposit transaction is linked to the correct business checking account.
  2. Check the settings to ensure that the deposit is assigned to the right account.
  3. If needed, edit the transaction details to link it correctly to your business checking account.
  4. Once you have confirmed that the deposit is associated with the correct account, try confirming it again.
